Oh The Places You’ll Go!

It’s a Seussebration around here today! Today the OG Honey Badger turns four! Four. Years. Old. I don’t know where the time has gone! We will be having a party for her this weekend, and the theme ties into her present and I can’t wait for her to see it all!

Today is also when the girls’ school celebrated Dr. Seuss Day! All the kids were able to have Wacky Wednesday, and The birthday girl’s class got cupcakes to help her celebrate!

In our house we have been celebrating Seuss since Friday, as that was his birthday! We started our celebrating with some “Lorax pancakes,” which involves a lot of food coloring and mandarin oranges. Honestly I was doing it on the fly; last year I made green eggs and ham and that was an epic fail. So this year I was trying to come up with something that the honey badgers would actually eat. And they loved them! We’ve watched Horton Hears a Who and every Dr. Seuss cartoon available on Netflix. We are big readers in our house, so we’ve been rereading them all! Fortunately a few years ago my mom, the queen of the theme, had a Seuss themed Christmas, and she bought all the grandkids the entire collection.

Today though, might be one of my favorites, and I have the picture to prove it! I bought the girls the most adorable //ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ac&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=amanda08f-20&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B074N4M85G&asins=B074N4M85G&linkId=57fe814597799fbaa352f47bdaeee962&show_border=false&link_opens_in_new_window=false&price_color=333333&title_color=0066c0&bg_color=ffffff“>Seuss jams (They run small, so size up), and I got to do my chalkboard! I love a theme and I really try to make the girls feel extra special on their birthdays, especially when their party isn’t on their actual birthday. One day I hope the girls look back on this photo and know how much they have been loved, and see that from an early age I have tried to make them see they can do anything. They can move mountains.
